Privacy Policy

Effective October 23, 2026

This website is the professional site of Dr. Arisha Patel (“I,” “me,” or “this site”). It exists to share my writing and to receive inquiries about advisory, fractional executive, speaking, and expert consultation work. This policy explains what information the site collects, why, and the choices you have. I keep it short because the site collects very little.

1. What this site is not

This site does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using it does not create a physician-patient relationship. It is not a patient portal and is not connected to any clinical practice, electronic health record, or billing system. Please do not submit medical records, test results, symptoms, or other health information through any form on this site. If you do, I will delete it and ask you to continue through an appropriate channel.

2. Information the site collects

Inquiry forms. When you submit a form (Work With Me, Partner and Investor Inquiries, Connect, or International Consultation), I receive the information you type: your name, email address, organization, role, country, and your message. The International Consultation form collects only your name, email, country, and a short description of your request, and does not accept file uploads.

Newsletter signups. When you subscribe to The Cancer Resilience Code, your email address is collected by Substack, which hosts the newsletter under its own privacy policy. I can see subscriber email addresses and basic engagement data (opens and clicks).

Booking. After certain inquiries you may be offered a scheduling page hosted by Calendly. Anything you enter there is collected by Calendly under its own privacy policy and shared with me so the meeting can be held.

Analytics. With your consent, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and where visitors come from. This records your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and form and booking completions. IP addresses are truncated and are not stored by me. Analytics runs only if you choose Accept on the cookie banner.

Server logs. The hosting provider automatically records standard technical data (IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps) for security and to keep the site running. These logs are retained for a limited period and are not used to identify you.

I do not buy, sell, or rent personal information, and I do not use advertising trackers.

3. How I use information

To respond to your inquiry, evaluate whether an engagement is a fit, and schedule and hold meetings. To send the newsletter you subscribed to. To understand how the site is used and improve it. To protect the site from abuse. Where an engagement proceeds, contracting and payment take place off this site through separate services (for example, an e-signature provider and a payment processor), each under its own terms and privacy policy, and you will be told which before anything is signed or paid.

I do not use your information for automated decision-making, profiling, or advertising.

4. Who sees your information

Only I and the service providers that make the site work: the web host, the form plugin, Substack, Calendly, and Google Analytics. These providers process data on my behalf and under their own privacy policies. No one at any clinical practice, company, or other organization I am affiliated with receives form submissions from this site. I share information beyond this only when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of any person. Engagements are confidential; I do not publish client names or the substance of any inquiry.

5. Cookies

The site uses one strictly necessary cookie to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies are set only if you Accept. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie Settings link in the footer, and you can clear cookies in your browser. Substack and Calendly set their own cookies when you use their embedded tools.

6. Retention

Inquiry emails are kept as long as there is a live conversation or engagement, then for up to three years for records, after which they are deleted. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the link in any issue. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months. Server logs are retained by the host for a short period in the ordinary course.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask me at any time to tell you what information I hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it, and you can withdraw consent to analytics at any time. Email hello@arishapatelmd.com and I will respond within thirty days. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you have these rights by law, along with the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. Residents of California and other U.S. states with privacy laws have comparable rights. I do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, so no opt-out is needed.

8. International visitors

This site is operated in the United States and information is stored and processed there. If you contact me from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to the United States, which may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. By submitting a form or subscribing, you consent to that transfer.

9. Children

This site is for adults and professionals. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, email me and I will delete it.

10. Security

The site runs over HTTPS. Form submissions are delivered to a single secured mailbox. Access is limited to me. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security, but I take reasonable steps to protect what the site collects.

11. Links to other sites

The site links to third-party sites, including Substack, Calendly, LinkedIn, and publications. Their privacy practices are their own. Please read their policies.

12. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page for at least thirty days.
